Dear reader family and fellow authors, I did not intend to publish. I went on Inkitt to write for exposure therapy. As a childhood assault survivor, I ended up carrying a lot of trauma within me, and it built up over time. Since my POTS and hEDS flared a handful of years ago, and I needed a spinal patch, my depression worsened a hundredfold. I wrote for the first time a year and a half ago and found relief there. Readers came flooding in, became family and encouraged me to publish. It was shocking but deeply welcomed. That's how I got here. I'm an accidental author. Since losing my job, I'm hoping that publishing will eventually pay my rent, buy me food and pay my medical bills because I have not only fallen in love with storytelling, it's become a source of healing for me. I have eight other books coming and two works in progress now that I'm finally publishing. It's never too late to join my reader, shifter family and me on the road to recovery.
