Ilona Andrews is the pen name of a dynamic husband-and-wife writing duo. Ilona, originally from Russia, and Gordon, a former U.S. Army communications sergeant, met in college during English Composition 101—where Ilona scored a higher grade (a fact Gordon hasn’t quite let go of). Despite playful rumors, neither was a spy or an intelligence officer; they simply share a passion for crafting immersive stories. Together, they’ve co-authored bestselling urban fantasy series, including the fan-favorite *Kate Daniels* series and the romantic fantasy series *The Edge*. The couple now lives in Oregon with their two children, three dogs, and a cat.
