Cynetic Wolf by Matt Ward – Book Review
This book has fabulous world-building, a dystopian future very well detailed, and at the same time, an information overload. There are so many layers and themes (the ethics of human genetic experimentation, society structure, slavery, and political intrigue).

The Beast and the Bethany by Jack Meggitt-Phillips – Book Review
The Beast and the Bethany is a middle-grade fantasy story in which all the main characters are deeply (and disturbingly) flawed and fairly unlikeable. If we move past the witty and snarky comments, the story offers some valuable messages to the young readers.

A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas - Book Review
From the beginning, it gave me Beauty and the Beast vibes, but that soon ebbed the more I read. I’m not even sure I can call this a retelling because aside from the premises and the curse, they don’t have much in common. The plot of A court of Thorns and Roses is much more intricate, with a wide array of complex characters and unexpected events.
