The Written, by Ben Galley - Book Review
Ben Galley’s debut novel paints an intricate story with fantastic characters putting a new spin on popular myths while struggling to save their world. As with any high fantasy, expect crazy names and plenty of metaphors.

Hex at a House Party, by Gretchen Galway - Book review
In this installment, Alma is sent to a house party to spy on the witches on behalf of the protectorate. Although the text was embellished with plenty of adjectives and metaphors (which I associate more with epic fantasy than urban fantasy), the plot was fresh, immersive (the battle scenes were written in such a manner that it felt like watching an action movie), and engrossing.

Lex is a boundary witch, which means that unlike regular witches she sees the ghosts of those who had violent deaths.
